Who agrees to become a member of the Association GABA, in accordance with the rules of the Association, hereinafter referred to as the Association Member, confirms that they have familiarized themselves with the Association Charter, share the goals and objectives of the Association, and fully adhere to the rules and regulations of the Association.
Membership in the Association is determined for a period of not less than one year and continues indefinitely until the cancellation of the signed agreement between the parties.
Membership fee and fees for membership in the Association: – Registration fee for membership in the Association:$200. – Annual membership fee for the Association: $300.This rule applies in the case of a one-time payment. The Association’s membership fee, paid monthly, is$40 per month. Membership fees shall be calculated on a calendar year basis, regardless of the period of membership or termination of membership.
Article 1, Section 1 – Purposes: IRC § 501(c)(6):This association is organized solely for one or more purposes as set in section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”), including the general purpose of promoting the common interest of the individuals and their businesses. Additionally, it a imsto promote Georgian business interests in the U.S. market, facilitate cross-border trade, and enhance the professional capabilities of Georgian enterprises seeking to establish or expand their presence in the United States.
GABA promotes trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the United States of America. I Georgian business lobbying II. Advocacy of Georgian business with U.S. government institutions III. Integration and development of Georgian business in the U.S. The more specific objectives of the Business Association, without limitation, are as follows:
1. To connect Georgian entrepreneurs in the United States with commercial or non-profit organizations, as well as business circles in Georgia, in order to foster strong networks and create opportunities for cooperation.
2. To facilitate the exchange of resources, knowledge, and expertise, which contributes to the mutual development of businesses operating in Georgia and the United States.
3. To conduct analytical research on the investment environment and local and international business trends, and present findings in appropriate forums.
4. To prepare comprehensive reports on commercial, economic, financial, industrial, and related aspects of the American and Georgian business circles, and to make actionable proposals for implementation.
5. To enhance communication and networking opportunities between American and Georgian business people.
6. To organize international and local conferences for members and investors.
7. To build strong relationships between the governments and business communities of both countries. Membership Section 1 – Eligibility: Any individual, sole proprietor, association, corporation, partner ship, limited liability company, or other business organization interested in uniting for the purposes of the Association is eligible to apply for membership. Membership in the Association is open to organizations that share the purposes and interests of the Association.
Section 2 – Membership Application Process: A person wishing to become a member of the Association shall submit a written application to the Board in the form established by the Board of Directors. The Board shall make a decision on admission to membership no later than 60 days after receipt of the application.
Section 3 – Membership Classifications: Membership in the Association is defined by five classifications:
1. Any individual or company doing business in specified industries in the United States or abroad.
2. An individual or company that sells or distributes products and/or services in a mission-critical industry.
3. An individual or company that provides professional advice or consulting services in a mission-critical industry for a fee.
4. Media: An individual or company that disseminates news in the field of business.
5. Nonprofit Organization: Organizations classified as 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) that conduct their activities in the United States for the development of the Georgian community. Section 5 – Appointment of Representatives: Members shall have the right to appoint representatives to attend meetings and/or functions of the Association and to change their representatives at any time by written notice to the Association.
